Boating Safety Form

The NYS Safe Boating Course requires eight (8) hours of classroom instruction. The course will be taught by a board member of the deep Creek Yacht Club, Inc. who is a member of the U.S.C.G. Auxiliary.
Upon successful completion of the course, and having passed the exam, students will be issued a temporary New York State Safe Boater Certificate.
The student will mail the second part of the form to Albany with a check in the amount of $10.00. If the student is under the age of 18 the $10.00 fee is waived. The permanent certificate will be issued by New York State.
This certificate is required by NYS for all personal watercraft (jetski) operators. The course meets Coast Guard Educational requirements for operating a Boat, PWC and also meets the requirements for a Youth Operator.
